1) About Chabad of Cannes

Famous for its International Film Festival, Cannes is located in the southern part of France, the French Riviera. Cannes is an elegant city known around the world and attracts an international clientele. What other city can offer, all year round, such beautiful light, such a harmonious union of sea shores and wooded mountainsides, such lush vegetation, dazzling gardens suspended between the ultramarine sea and the azure sky, such a mild climate, air perfumed with a thousand fragrances...
Cannes is also a city of conferences, trade shows and business meetings.

The world-wide Chabad Lubavitch movement opened it’s center in Cannes in 1989.

Today it has grown, and many organisations are included under Chabad of Cannes:

- The Synagogue of Rue Commandant Vidal

- The day School L’Ecole Juive de Cannes

- The social organisation “Centre d’Accueil et d’Animation Cannois”

- The Judaica shop Cann’or

- The “Jewish Tourist Center of the French Riviera”, including many “summer Synagogues”

- The JJC – Jewish youth organisation

- The Jewish Learning Center “Tiferet Shlomo”

- The Jewish Community of St Tropez

- The Jewish Community of Mandelieu-la-Napoule

In addition to servicing the local Jews, with many programs geared for young people, it has become an international center which greets visitors from aboard with great warmth and friendliness.

All these efforts are directed by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Matusof and his son Rabbi Mendel Matusof.

The restaurant can be open for Shabbat by reservation. (It opens only if it has a total of minimum 15 reservations for Shabbat).

4) Synagogue

The Chabad  House - Shul  is located 22 Rue Commandant Vidal, corner Boulevard de Lorraine.  It is a minute away from the "Croisette" boardwalk.

Walking directions: On the Croisette, at the Palais Stephanie (ex Noga Hilton), take rue Amouretti, the street becomes rue Signoret (go past rue d’Antibes), which becomes rue Commandant Vidal. At the end, we are on your right.

Times of Services :

Daily: 8  AM and 8 PM.

Friday night: Entrance of Shabbat.  Shabbat Morning: 9:30 AM. Mincha: same as Friday night.
